Acer Palmatum Dissectum Inaba Shidare

Commonly known as Inaba Shidare Japanese maple tree. It is a beautiful deciduous tree with a weeping habit and delicate, lacy foliage. An upright structure and broad cascading branches will deliver high value for any landscape. Leaves are sized 6 inches with deeply cut 7 lobes, emerge in a deep purple-red color in spring & transform into a dark burgundy in summer, and change to a bright scarlet-red in the fall.

‘Inaba Shidare’ will reach about a height of 8-10 feet and wide of 10-12 feet when mature. It prefers full sun to a partially shaded location with moist, well-drained soil that is slightly acidic. The low-maintenance tree can tolerate harsh conditions like hot summer to frost & can adapt well to most situations. Yet it requires annual pruning to encourage strong, healthy shoots and improve flowering. ‘Inaba Shidare’ is an excellent patio plant & suitable for container growing.
