Acer Palmatum Dissectum Germaine’s Gyration
$750.00
Available in 70L pots
Green lace leaf Japanese maple is a weeping deciduous shrub with a twisting vigorous growth habit. The tree is deformed naturally by its growth of intricate spirals & lateral branching. As it typically matures in a spreading mound of twisting branches, ‘Germaine’s Gyration’ becomes wider than tall. In 10 years, it will get 6-8 feet tall and 8-12 feet wide. The fast-growing cascading green lace leaves are deeply cut, 7 – 9 lobbed & become sharp and narrower at the edges. The large leaves are colored light green in early spring, which merges with bright shades of yellow and orange throughout the autumn.
It prefers moist, organically rich, slightly acidic, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. Avoid planting in locations of high exposure to strong wind and hot and dry sites. Keep pruning to a minimum & restricted to doing only in late fall to mid-winter. Fairly symmetrical mounded tree ideal for adding color & texture to your garden, especially in garden border & even suited to growing in containers in its formative stages.
