Upright growing & dwarf Japanese maple tree is a small, deciduous tree that typically grows to a spread of 8 to 12 feet. It is renowned for its stunning variegated leaves that emerge in summer with dark green through variegated new shoots and yellowish orange in autumn. The leaves are deeply lobed and are arranged in a palmate shape. In the fall, the foliage turns shades of orange, yellow, and red, creating a beautiful display. Crown broadly fen-shaped & weeping at maturity distinctly dome-shaped. The tree prefers partial shade to full sun and well-draining soil. Prefers acid to neutral conditions and it needs to be out of strong winds. It is relatively low maintenance and is a popular choice for Japanese-style gardens, container planting, and small urban spaces.
